The Traditional Market of Bidart

Held in the Town Hall Square, the traditional market of Bidart takes place every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM.
It’s the perfect occasion to buy local products, fresh fruits, and vegetables every week, whether in summer or during the off-season.
Being a Saturday market, it is well-stocked, bringing together stalls of greengrocers, butchers, fishmongers, and delicatessens.
Here, you can find traditional regional products like Kintoa ham, Espelette peppers, Itxassou cherries in season, Irouléguy wines, and Ossau-Iraty cheeses, along with the usual seasonal fruits and vegetables.
A friendly weekend event, the traditional market of Bidart also features non-food stalls with items like homeware, clothing, and shoes.

Basque Terroir and Products

Are you unfamiliar with Basque gastronomy?
From July to mid-September, every Tuesday morning is the time to visit the Basque Country Product Fair.
This event, the Bidart'Eko Azoka, takes place in the Town Hall Square and along the Church Street.
Rich in discoveries, this fair is ideal for tasting artisanal and high-quality regional products: farmers, breeders, and producers of typical Basque specialties gather in Bidart.
It’s a chance to discover and purchase a variety of farm products: wine with Espelette pepper, Basque cake, organic beers, foie gras, sheep’s cheese, charcuterie, Kintoa Basque pork, jams, honey, Espelette pepper, Atxoa preserves, chocolate, cider, and apple juices.
The event runs from 9 AM to 2:30 PM, allowing you to enjoy a meal on-site as well!

The Bidart Night Market

A festive must-see of the summer, the Bidart Night Market showcases local crafts: espadrilles, fabrics, jewelry, and hats fill the colorful stalls, bringing the town center to life every Thursday from 6 PM to 11 PM in July and August.
It’s the perfect opportunity to stroll, pick up souvenirs, and discover typical Basque products.
A convivial event, ideal for extending your evening after a restaurant meal or a family walk.
The market may feature artisan and artist demonstrations, music, or folkloric performances.
